Once upon a time you were a child with big dreams that you promised you would make real one day. Do not disappoint yourself! 🙂
Happy New Month loves! I guess I am slightly late in joining the bandwagon but at least I am here. It was just the other day when we were having new year festivities yet here we are, eight months into 2016. I am a firm believer of setting realistic goals, not because I am too ‘old’ but simply because I desire to be better every single day. Life is progressive and being at the same place for too long not only makes you complacent but is also unhealthy. Have you ever tried sitting all day? (maybe not all day but you get my point). Your muscles get exhausted and all you want to do is stand. Frankly, such is life. I am sure that you all have goals that you would like to achieve; it could be getting a certain grade on a unit in school that you have been slacking on, or starting your own business, or even getting new friends because the ones you have do not add much value to your life. My message today is not a food recipe, it is a recipe for ‘More Doing’. Start paying more attention to that unit & allocating more study time for it, come up with a business plan & if you do not know how to you can simply ask (Google is your friend), slowly pull away from people who do not add value to your life & identify those who are really down for you. The unit will not pass on its own. The more time you spend sitting on your brilliant idea, the more you are leaving the opportunity for someone else to come up with the idea, plan and execute it. The more you stay around unproductive people, the more you become one yourself. So get to it, less thinking and more doing. When it comes down to it, it’s all about you and your life so do not let other people’s opinions determine your decisions. When my 2016 started, I decreed & declared that it would be a year of abundant blessings and favor. Eight months into the year and all I can say is that:
Thoughts Become Things!
There is a wonderful Italian joke about a poor man who goes to church everyday and prays before the statue of the Great Saint, begging, “Dear Saint, please ,please, please…give me the grace to win the lottery”. This lament goes on for months. Finally, the exasperated statue comes to life, looks down at the begging man and says in weary disgust, “My son, please, please, please…buy a ticket”. Prayer is a relationship; half the job is mine. If I want transformation, but cannot even be bothered to particularly articulate whatever it is that I am aiming for, how will it even occur? If you do not offer a clear posed and well considered intention, all your pleas and desires become boneless, floppy, inert; they swirl at your feet in a cold fog and never lift.

Today is over and tomorrow is a new day, make it count. Go out there & be great. I hope you had an amazing hump day!
