The Cake Festival-Charity Event

Happy hump day loves! I hope you are all having a great and productive week! 🙂

There are 2 things that always remind me that it is June: The Holy Month of Ramadan and The Cake Festival. And for the first time since I started attending the festival, both Eid and the event will fall on the same day this year. Unfortunately I will have to miss the festival because of a family commitment but that doesn’t stop me from spilling all the tea about it, right?

The Cake Festival is basically a charity event where different cake houses display and sample their cakes. They also participate in a competition where they get to explore their creativity and the best cake house gets awarded. All the fund from the event are normally used to pay bursary for needy students.

A sweet approach to educating bright needy students! 🙂

The best thing about it is that once you purchase a ticket, you get to eat as much cake as you want from as many stands as you possibly can.

A little tip for those who plan on going, there are perks to being early guys. You get to sample all the best cakes that are normally displayed for the judges to sample. You also get to identify your preferred cake house so you can definitely eat as much as you please and even go for seconds before everyone else shows up. A little secret of mine is that I normally ask for foil to pack some take-away for my mom. (Hides Face)

Also, be sure to visit the Cake City and Dairyland stands because they never, and I mean NEVER disappoint. There is also an interior shop, who’s name I can’t seem to remember for the life of me, that has the cutest trinkets. So please prepare your pocket for this one. Here are a few photos from last year’s event, do enjoy! 🙂
