4 Tips to Cleansing Right

Happy Hump Day loves! How is your week coming along? Your girl decided to get her life together and so we have another posts out this week. Won’t He do it? 🙂

Last week’s 5 day cleanse was the 2nd time I was doing a cleanse this year. With that, I have learnt what works and what doesn’t work for my body, particularly because I am prone to migraines. Here are a few tips on how to cleanse right. Do enjoy! 🙂

Hydrate!

Hydration really does it for your body: your skin, your mind and your system. The best thing to do is drink a glass of water once you wake up. I took the Lomon juice shots followed by 250ml of water after my morning workout and it helped rehydrate my body from all the sweating.

Smoothies

I absolutely love breakfast smoothies and smoothie bowls. I would highly recommend them when on a cleanse or a healthy eating journey because they are nutritious, filling and delicious! I add a handful of oats to mine to help thicken and 1/2 a teaspoon of chia seeds because they are packed with nutrients.

Drink your Veggies

Cold pressed juices are perfect when on a cleanse because you get to consume raw veggies you otherwise would have consumed when cooked. When is the last time you bit on a carrot? I bet you can’t remember (neither can I). Another advantage of juicing is that you get to consume all the nutrients in veggies, including those that could have otherwise been killed during the cooking process.

Don’t Forget the Protein

Life is about balance, right? Proteins are as important as fruits and veggies because they aid in body building. You can consume your protein by adding Almond Milk to your smoothies instead of cow milk. Another alternative would be to add some white meat to your salad. My go to is chicken, what’s yours?
